Backup data stored on our servers is encrypted at rest to protect it from unauthorized access.

3 Password Security

We take password security seriously:

            🔒 We do not store plain-text passwords under any circumstances.

            🔒 Password reset is done through a secure OTP-based verification process.

            🔒 Failed login attempts are monitored to prevent brute-force attacks.

4 Account Security

To protect your JapTap account:

            ✅ Active sessions can be reviewed and terminated from within the app.

5 Backup Security

When you use the optional Backup & Restore feature:

            🔐 Backups are stored on secure, access-controlled servers.

            🔐 Only you can access and restore your backup using your account credentials.

            🔐 Backup data is permanently deleted upon account deletion.

6 Offline-First Security

JapTap is designed as an Offline-First Application. Your spiritual records (mantra counts, reports, goals) are stored locally on your device by default. This means your data remains private and secure even without an internet connection.

7 Data We Do NOT Collect

            ✅ We do NOT track your location.

            ✅ We do NOT access your contacts, messages, or media.

            ✅ We do NOT sell your data to third parties.

            ✅ We do NOT use your spiritual data for advertising purposes.

In the unlikely event of a security breach that affects your personal data, we will:
